Another Finish

May Fairy

I can add another finish to the list for the year - YAY! I stitched up the free May Fairy designed by Lucie Heaton and available on the DMC UK site. I am participating in a SAL (Stitch a Long) in a Facebook group and I love seeing what everyone is doing with the design each month.

I stitched my fairy on 14-count light blue Aida with the suggested DMC colors, except I used metallic gold floss for the wand sparkle. So far my favorite finishing method for the fairies is the ones where people have stitched them on afghans. They look so great and make me wish I had chosen that as my finishing method. I will, however, be making ornaments from mine and I will most likely make a ornament display stand and have one out each month. Either that or I will display all of them on my small white tree between Easter and July Fourth.

Very sweet, Connie. The gold thread really makes the design shine - pun intended.
