I am so excited because we got a new refrigerator today. We have two fridges (his and hers) and the older one is still chilling right along. But the newer one was dying a slow death - the ice maker went out, water pooled on the shelves because of a design flaw, and it was driving me crazy! I finally convinced my DH to get a new one - a lot of whining may have been involved. And maybe some pointing out that a new refrigerator would be more energy efficient.
Since we were getting the new one this week, I held off on buying groceries so I didn't try any new recipes this week. But I will tell you about one of my latest food obsessions - Greek yogurt. I particularly like the Yoplait Greek 100 Yogurt. My favorite flavor is Lemon, but I also like Boston Cream Pie, Key Lime, and Vanilla. Before I had my surgery I didn't like Greek Yogurt at all, but now, I eat it at least once a day.
I like to eat my yogurt with some kind of addition to give it a little crunch. Sometimes I add a few almonds or a serving of Bran Buds, but most of the time I use a couple of teaspoons of granola.
I do have one big tip about buying yogurt - always check the expiration dates. I can't tell you how many times I have found out-of-date yogurt at both my favorite grocery stores. I am kind of OCD about expiration dates, so I always check.
