Mary and a Fairy
This week I am finishing up some SAL projects. I finished my March Samplerlife SAL a few days ago and then I started in on my March Lucie Heaton Fairy. It only took a few hours (spread over two days) to finish this one and she is so cute! You can find her at DMC UK.
I have sort of let my stitching rotation slide a bit lately. I need to get back to it, but first I am going to stitch up Mary Mouse, another freebie. She is part of Brooke's Books Animal Advent Collection. So far 13 designs have been released in this series and I am only on number 3. But, it is not a race! I stitch for pleasure not on a production line.
In other stitching news - I lost my favorite needle threader this week. So far all attempts at finding it have failed. So I pulled another pack out of my stash - this time the threaders are magnetic and live on the base of my stitching lamp, so hopefully I won't lose them anytime soon. This particular threader set is available at Create for Less. I know a lot of cross-stitchers don't use needle threaders and neither did I until very recently. It just makes it so much easier for me to get the threads and flosses through the eye of the needle - especially beading needles!
