Halloween and Christmas Finishes

Yesterday I had two finishes. Of course, they aren't "finished" finishes, but they will be eventually. The first finished stitchery is the Devil from Prarie Schooler's Heads Up Cross Stitch Leaflet. I ended up altering this design a little from the way it was charted because it wasn't symmetrical and that bothered my OCD a little! This is the second one of the "heads" I have stitched - there are seven left to go.
The second finish is adapted from a Stitchers Anon freebie. The snowflakes were supposed to be stitched, but I had these neat little snowflakes in my stash so I got to use them! I also left off the border. I am hoping to find a small oval hoop or frame to "finish" finish this one.
I am up to 7 finishes for this year! I am hoping to have many, many more - I have way too many projects in the works and I am trying to whittle down that number to a more managable amount. Don't ask how many because I am scared to count them all. I have 15 in my current rotation, a bunch put away for now and probably just as many as that kitted up and ready to begin. What can I say - I love cross-stitch!
Over the past few years, I have managed to whittle down my stash a lot though. I donated some of it to a local thrift shop, sold some of my many leaflets and books on Amazon.com, and I also gave away a lot of stuff to friends and fellow stitchers. I am still working on "de-stashing" so that all my stuff will at least fit neatly into my craft room! Of course, I still end up buying a few things along the way too - it's a never ending cycle of accumulating and clearing out.
