Beth, I Hear You Calling
Next up in my rotation - Beth from Brooke's Books Little Women series. This is available in her Etsy shop. I worked on this one during the Super Bowl (YAY Broncos!) and I am continuing on her today since she is still "calling my name" because I would really like to finish her soon. Probably not this stint in the rotation, but maybe next time she comes around. We shall see how it goes. Her apron is driving me crazy - there are several shades of green that are very close in color. So, I made a copy of the chart and got out my handy, dandy Crayola Twistable Colored Pencils and I am ready to conquer the apron!
One of my friends recommended the pencils for marking patterns and they are pretty awesome. I don't like having a highlighter near my fabric and other colored pencils were not that great at making marks. The Crayola Twistables make great marks! You don't have to press hard at all.
After I work on Beth, I will be working on my SAL project for next year some more. When I release it, it will take 18 months to complete, but I am trying to get it done in a year which means I have to do 1.5 sections a month. Which means I need to be disciplined about working on it - not something I am great at. I don't like working under a deadline! But I want to have it completely test-stitched before I start releasing the patterns, so deadline it is.
